How the Loyalty Programme Works

For every $1 you spend online and in-store in the Ballantynes Beauty Department and Solace Hair and Beauty,  earn 1 BeautyVIP point. Once you reach 500 points, we will give you a $50 reward credit which you can spend on anything you desire in the Beauty Department. It's that easy.

As a BeautyVIP member, you will receive exclusive offers from your favourite beauty brands. You will also get priority invitations to our fun in-store beauty brand events.

 

How to Join

1. Simply click on our Login/Register button located on the top righthand corner of our website.

2. Register your details by clicking on the Register Here link underneath the “Not a BeautyVIP?” heading.

Where can I use my BeautyVIP card?

You can use your BeautyVIP card in the Beauty department of our Christchurch and Timaru stores and while visiting Solace Hair & Beauty in Christchurch. You can also use your BeautyVIP card when you are shopping products from these areas on our website. While your web purchases will earn points, you will need to visit us instore to redeem them. If you are unsure which brands and products will earn BeautyVIP points, just ask a Ballantynes staff member.

What are reward points and reward credits and how do you collect them?

Every $1 you spend in Ballantynes Beauty department or Solace Hair and Beauty earns you one reward point. Once you reach 500 reward points you will be issued a $50 reward credit. You collect points online by purchasing a beauty product.

How do I find out how many points of reward credits I have?

When you make a qualifying beauty purchase your points balance will print on your receipt. When you qualify for a BeautyVIP reward credit the counter staff will inform you. You can then use the reward credit on your next purchase. Alternatively just show your card to the cosmetics counter staff and ask them to look up your points for you.

How do I redeem my BeautyVIP reward credits?

Reward credits are recorded with all qualifying purchases, both instore and online. For instore purchases, when you make a qualifying purchase that sees you reach 500 BeautyVIP points, our team will ask if you would like to use your reward credit.

Do BeautyVIP points and reward credits expire?

Points last for 2 years from the date you make your purchase and reward credits expire 6 months from date of issue.

I already have a Ballantynes account card, do I need to carry another card?

No. Ballantynes account cardholders automatically receive BeautyVIP rewards. All you need to do is show your Ballantynes account card when making a purchase in the beauty area.

How do I update my details?

You can update your details online, instore or by calling Customer Services on 0800 656 400.

What if my card is lost or stolen?

Just let the counter staff or customer service team know you've lost your card and they can replace your BeautyVIP card immediately.

What if I forget my card or don't want to carry an extra card?

If you forget or choose not to carry the BeautyVIP card, the beauty counter staff will be able to look up your customer number for you and ensure you receive your points. However carrying your card will make it easier and quicker at the time of purchase. To redeem a BeautyVIP reward credit you will need to show your BeautyVIP card or another form of identification such as your Drivers Licence.
