Honouring key moments of creativity and discovery, this AW25 collection explores Liberty’s varied and influential handwriting and its extensive history of creating designs that have stood the test of time.

The Liberty Design Studio was invited to delve into the Liberty Archive from print impressions to embroidered studies, uncovering the origins of the designers’ musings, delivering 150 years of inspiration for this reflective collection.

Design: Delving into the multifaceted process of creating printed textiles, the Liberty design studio was inspired by the flat, block-coloured areas typically found across the edges of tiled-out repeat patterns. Drawing from a diverse range of hand-painted archival artworks, Little Merton emerges as a multi-layered floral silhouette, meticulously redrawn to capture the richness and tonal subtleties of gouache brushstrokes.
